They hide well, but they’re in there.
And they’re tiny.
They taste amazing! They’re just…miniscule.
Did I not water them enough? Is the soil missing some kind of nutrient? Is it just because we’re having a cool spring?
If any of you wonderful, helpful people know why these strawberries are so small please leave me a solution (if there is one) in the comments.
Actually, “REAL” strawberries aren’t that big. It’s the ones that have been modified in the green houses and stuff. I remember as a kid, our strawberries in our gardens were small and delicious. We have patches of wild strawberries up here in Alaska and they’re super tiny! So no worries. Be happy they’re not packed full of bad stuff to make them large.

Hi, M! Thanks for the comment!
They are very delicious. 🙂
And they haven’t had tons of stuff done to them. Just weeding and watering, and laying down tall grass from the side yard to keep the fruit off the ground. I’ll have to fertilize this fall, though, to give them something to grow on next year. We can get mulch from the dump for like $6 a yard. lol, more than enough for a little strawberry patch.
