MMM…For the Birds and Rockin’ Robin

18 Aug

Is it Monday already?

One of these years I’m going to get used to the fact that every week has one. *groan*

Here are my offerings for MMM (Mirth and Music Monday). It seems to be about birds. Huh, who would have thought I would ever get into some kind of a theme for a Monday meme. (lol)

.

This is a long-time favorite of mine.

There seem to be a couple of morals to this story.

Let’s see what you think.

Then we have one of my favorite oldies redone by The Muppets.

If you want to watch more MMM’s go over to ReGi McClain’s blog. She’s the one responsible for all this giggling on Mondays. Here’s The Link!

Don’t forget to check out the smiley faces on the right hand side of her page. The top one will let you follow links to other MMM bloggers, and the one beneath that will take you to snippets of stories by all kinds of different writers. They post their stuff on Wednesdays.

TWEET. TWEEEET. Lol, I do love Animal. And between Muppets and Pixar, what’s not to like about this post. 😀 I’m not entirely sure I’ve seen that short before, did it come before one of their feature-length movies?

Yeah, it’s kinda hard to go wrong with the Muppets and Pixar. They both ‘get’ funny. 🙂

You know, I’m not sure where For The Birds made it’s first debut. I know it’s been around a while. One of our former pastors used it to illustrate a point in a sermon. For the life of me I can’t remember the topic that Sunday, but I do remember the entire congregation laughing! 😀

For the Birds is one of my all-time favorite shorts. For lots of reasons. 🙂

I’m with Emily. TWEET, TWEET! My kids are going to love it! (They’re not up yet.) The five of us will probably be TWEET, TWEETing all day. 😀

When I was a teenager one of the local stations was oldies. (we threw a complete fit when it changed to country. I’m still pouting.)
It was rare for our bedroom radio to be tuned to anything else. So now days we can pretty much sing along to any song from the 50’s or 60’s.

One of the few things I miss about satellite T.V. is the channel with 50’s music. Now I will have to find an alternative source. (it’s great for bopping through the house sweeping or dusting!)

That original rock and roll was lots of fun. 🙂 Unfortunately, “oldies” stations now play mostly 60’s, 70’s, 80’s stuff. *sigh* Too bad. Did you ever see the California Raisens or any of the other Claymation stuff that featured all sorts of oldies songs? So much fun.

I vaguely remember seeing a California Raisins commercial. Truthfully? It kinda creeped me out. lol

Went shopping with an aunt the other day and saw one of their raisin dolls in an antique store. Yep. Still creepy. :/

I’ll have to see if watching a full length commercial again will help get rid of the uneasiness. It’s worth a shot, right?

LOL I understand there are certain perspective shots and live-animation combo shots that creep me out pretty badly. If you saw Across the Universe or Spy Kids *shudder* Yeah. *shudder again* Creepy.

… On that note, I know someone who is afraid of sock monkeys.

Oh, man! Buried somewhere in a closet at my parents’ house is a Grinch doll. Part of my brain wants to run and hid just at the thought of those eyes. While not technically glow in the dark, that old toys eyes will stare at you while you’re trying to sleep. Mom says we have been hiding it since she brought it home when I was about 7.
I guess you never really outgrow parts of your childhood. lol
