This has been an interesting week of home improvement, planting part of the garden and sticking to my diet like a good girl (it’s not usually difficult, but this past week had some serious temptations).
Let’s celebrate the fact that we survived another whirlwind week, and weekend, with some fun.

These are both clips from the movie Captain January. The first movie I can remember crying to. It’s alright, though. It has singing, dancing, humor and, most importantly, a happy ending, like all feel-good movies should.Β π

If you liked this sample of Mirth and Music Monday go ahead and check out ReGi McClain’s blog. She’s the creator of this meme and host of the linky where you can find out who else is playing along this week.
You’re more than welcome to join in the fun. All that is required is something funny and something musical. They can be just one funny music video, or several of each. It’s your style, your choice. π

Happy Monday!

Cute!!! I should go snag that early bird one to play for my kids in the morning. I think they’d like waking up to that.
I never got into Shirley temple as a kid, but maybe my 5 yo would like some of her stuff. Any particular recommendations?

I always liked The Little Princess, myself. Captain January, of course, is a good one. She did an alright version of Heidi. And if I remember correctly she had one really early in her career called Daddy’s Little Marker or something like that. She’s used as the down payment on a bet, I think. It’s just really cute how all those tough guys turned to mush as soon as they had a little girl to look after. Kinda like a 1930’s version of 9 men and a toddler. lol
