We all have that adorable photo op idea of baby’s first Christmas in our heads and hearts.
Then there’s what happens most of the time:

For music I found, well, at least ‘baby’ is in the title. 🙂

*chuckles* That Baby’s First Christmas video is great. The photo shoot! My sister was up here for one of our photo shoots. Afterwards, we spent the rest of the afternoon thinking of all the ways they need to improve professional photography, including a camera that automatically takes a picture every second. Because, you know, we’d get all three (at the time) kids smiling at once, but by the time the camera did its thing, at least one smile was a frown.

Oh, cameras are one part amazing and two parts annoying. The camera on my phone has like a half second delay. It’s amazing how many photos I have of where a niece or nephew Used to be. lol

For our first child Christmas was kind of a nightmare. We had moved away from both families. Usually we alternate years in terms of visit to each others family. Well that year we visited each of our families which was crazy in terms coordinating times and driving all over with a 4 month old. But she was the first grandchild and got so many presents it took me half am hour just to open hers alone. First Christmas is pretty special 🙂 I hope it is with you all as well.

Wow, that does sound stressful.
At this point I only really have one in-law, and we all live together, so he usually joins us with my family. Which is good, since he’s friends with my dad anyway.
Kathleen did get quite a few things this year, but most of them are clothes. She had a grand time playing with the paper, ribbons, and cousins, though, so it was still a lot of fun for her.
One thing that made me extra happy, was that she leaned in to her Great-grandma and did their usual nose rub. I hope to get a picture of that really soon. It’s just too cute to let be forgotten.
I hope you all have a great Christmas this year. 🙂
