#MirthMusicMon – Long Hair: Yes or No?

30 Jan

While my hair isn’t quite this long, I am getting a little tired of the weight, time it takes to wash and dry, and honestly, after a certain length, French twists and cute pigtails are out.

It was a childhood promise to myself that if I stopped chewing my hair (and nails) it would grow to be really long and beautiful. Well, it’s been waist-length for a few years, and I’m kinda over it for now. Not like I’m brave enough to go for a bob or anything, but perhaps back up to the bottom of my my shoulder blades?

(The nails are staying, though. lol)

Anyway, here are some of the annoyances of having long hair.

I’m one of those women who learned how to count bobby pins as I put them in. It hurts when you come across a lost one while brushing out a ‘do.

And if you want to maintain sanity, and a decent night sleep, you braid your hair or put it way up on the crown of your head when you’re heading to bed. More than once I’ve woken up to hair wrapped around my neck. Just a little adrenaline in the middle of the night. hehe
