Poor abused me.
For the past two weeks someone has been beating up on me. I’m talking kicking, punching, even weighing their opinion on what I eat!
Yes, folks. This kid is opinionated.
I ate a nectarine this afternoon and I thought I had a class full of gymnasts in there. Talk about sugar high. For some reason peanuts get this little one kicking around as well.
I referred to him/her as ‘this thing’ Saturday afternoon and instantly felt the hardest kick yet. Already talking back. 😉

But, on to the reason for this post:

I agree with Emily, I didn’t understand most of the giggles until closer to the end. I really liked it, though. I enjoyed the music and the movement without the annoying perfection. I have often been the one being nudged to line up properly but was glad that no one really expected perfection from our marching band. I think the humor balance in performance was just right and it is too bad there wasn’t a version without the giggler.

Yes, after finding that video I did some searching to find an equally funny ballet video of an acceptable length and quality. If there is one, YouTube was not offering it up for me.
To be honest my favorite part of this video is the flashbacks it gave me to the softshoe and can-can dancing I did in that theater group. I really felt like that odd girl out through every practice and performance. lol

Oh, the kid discussion is fun, too. Just don’t get too attached to the personality you think he/she has because the baby that comes out is usually completely different than you (I) was imagining.

You’re right, though. Hearing of pregnancy antics of nieces and nephews and then meeting them after their births they almost seemed like different people.

Yep, all of my babies came out with completely different personalities than what I had interpreted them to have before birth. How did the ultrasound go?

It went great!
First off, IT’S A GIRL!
The part I was really, really happy about is that all her bits and pieces are in the right places and that she has plenty of movement.
Of course she waited until my head was turned for half a second to do the really cool thing. My sister and the midwife said that she threw a fast right hook, came out of nowhere apparently. Needless to say that piece of news made daddy-to-be very happy. 🙂
